Hey guys, What would be the best pontoon boat for crappie, cats, hybrids and strippers? What would you look for or add?

A 22ft.fishing model ,with trolling motor, good electronics and large enough motor to handle rough water.

yep...lots of options out there.
my preference: 22' fishing model tritoon with performance package and largest motor boat is rated for. Then you can add the trolling motor. I would not get anything less than 24V/80lb thrust with a 22'. Add some electronics, rod holders (built or bought) and off you go.

I have had several boats over the years and without a doubt the best rig I ever had was my toon. But, it was a 24 footer and simply too much to handle alone once the kids grew up.
Whatever you get, make sure it is a tritoon. That extra log really improves performance and don't skimp on the engine. May not need what it is rated for but I would surely be close to it. Mine had an aluminum deck and was great. Nothing to rot!

I was looking for a 'toon but they seem to be more expensive (than glass)and you don't find too many with 100+hp motors in the used market.

Any suggestions on where the best place to go look at tritons in the Houston area?

I sold a fleet of pontoons, lots of different brands.
Bennington is the best I've ever seen, a 22' tritoon with lifting strakes, and aluminum bottom covers will run 40 mph with a 115, which is screaming fast for a pontoon.
I sold a 24' with a 225 four stroke yamaha that would run 60, and without nary a ripple in your wine glass.
