3 days near Glen Rose.....worst fishing I have ever seen on the river. A very few channel cats. Not a sandbass to be seen.

Hate to hear that, Steve. frown

Other areas of the Middle and Upper Brazos are healthy and producing well for us. fish

This fish was the largest of many from Mondays trip. It looks like it's going to be another potential record setting year on the Brazos! woot

I guess all 5 of us really didn't see dead fish all over the stretch of river we were on, nor did we see many more struggling on the surface to the point we could touch them. PLEASE.

I'm a bit surprised since I haven't heard of any bad news on the upper end of Whitney. I haven't fished Whitney consistently over the years, but did see a drop off in bait fish a couple of years ago. However, I was on the lake two weeks ago and the bait fish showed up in big schools over many areas.

The bottom line - Whitney looks very healthy!

So far toxic concentrations of the algae haven't made it down to Hamm creek. The algae usually goes away when the water warms and saves Whitney. So far that's working.
