Went out twice Saturday. Wind was howling from the south. Made sight casting a challenge.
Lake Gilmer was a slow go for us. Tried some old haunts for the first time this year. Water was gin clear, temps were 59-61, lots of hydrilla from 2ft out to 8ft of water. Didn't see as many beds in the areas we tried Saturday. Hydrilla with the stiff wind made getting close enough to site cast a bed tough. Picked up some on a chatter bait, biggest at 4.5lbs.
Lake Lonstar was totally blown out and very murky, temps 65. Unlike Gilmer, we found very little hydrilla in the lake. Picked up about 6 in 2 hours. Biggest went almost 6, not by me... All on lightly rigged plastics.

Just working a stretch of bank on the upper end. Always seem to scratch out a couple up there pre spawn. April may have some other areas heating up. Several banks with grass or reeds on em, lots of boat docks, a few erosion walls, one long point.
