Heading to Moss Lake this weekend. Water should warm nicely heading into next weekend. Anyone have any time recently on the lake? How does south boat ramp look? Usable?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Fished there two weeks ago, south ramp is where we unloaded no problems. Dock out of water but no problems unloading. Caught a few fish on traps but nothing to brag about.

fishing is good right now, fish are in their pre-spawn stage and should be starting to make beds as soon as the water temps stabilize in the low 60's. carolina rigs, jigs, and crankbaits are working well on points and docks. good luck

Thanks guys, I will shoot back a fishing report after the weekend.

Always had luck around points and docks, but never much in the timber on north end of lake.

Just a reminder they are checking boats for permits now so make sure you have one before getting on the lake. I am sure after all the rain it's a mud hole now and will take awhile to calm back down. We had almost 2" of rain

Yea, I was out there back in October and they were at the ramp selling permits. My choice, buy one or get a ticket. smile
Nice to have the option!

Need to get a new one for the new year though.

Headed there tomorrow. Hope the water temps are rising and the
fish are biting.

Not real productive on Moss this last weekend.

Hit it about 5 hours on Friday and another 4 on Saturday
Middle of the day
Very windy
Caught about 15 dinks off of boat houses flipping and a few
cruisers up and down the bank on traps and squarebills.

Couldn't do much around the wood as the wind was howling in from the south.

Saw some guys camped on deeper points but didn't see much catching going on.

Most of my fish came out of 6 to 8 feet of water

Went yesterday and we caught a dozen or so. Most small, but a few around 4lbs. All in the timber on squarebills and shakey heads.

Was out yesterday as well. Caught about 20 biggest about 4lbs. Most fish and the bigger ones came out of 3ft or less on a spinnerbaits. Also had success in shakey heads in the same area and caught another fish cranking.

Did find some 61 degree water.
