Amistad is warming up, fished 4 hours this AM and the water temp in Burro was 65.1. Boated 12 fish with the biggest being a 6 pounder. Can't wait for the big girls to move on up!

Great to hear! Leaving out Wednesday for big blue. Hope the wind gives me break while down there.
Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

I'm headed down Wednesday night to fish Thursday - Sunday. I haven't been on Big Blue in 5+ years. Sounds like we may be hitting it right. I'll be sure to post when I get back.

Man I cannot even Remember the last time I went fishing, well actually it was the Last BLT event on Amistad I donated to, well I get to donate again this Saturday as I get a 1 day break from the wedding Chors I have to be done with by Aptil 6th.
A word of Advise here, If you are getting married and the place charges 1200 dollars in rent or something, Just pay the rent and have it there and do not decide to save a buck and have it at your home, I dont care if you have a Mansion which I dont but the wommen folk will kill you with the labor consentration camp they run and it will end up costing you twice as much money. LOL

Fished there for the College BASS and it was tough. Water temp was in the mid to high 50's and they were still pretty lethargic and hadn't moved up. We came to that conclusion after 2 days haha

Just got back from there and we found fish in 65-67 water shallow with jigs.. It should get ready to bust loose with the full moon coming up.. We saw some HOGs getting ready to move up on beds..

You mean its the middle of March and the fish are just moving up??? They are also moving up in East Texas, it doesn't make sense to me. I would have thought they moved up a month or so ago, getting ready to end by now.

It never happens all at once on Amistad except when the conditions are very right for the Bass. Right now the conditions are not right. There is no grass. Thay are not going to get in any hurry this year. This is why I keep saying go as far up the Rio Grande as you can afford to go on the gas bill. Hunt those shallow fish they are much more perdictable. On this end of the lake you will hardly even realize when it has taken place and then you turn around twice and it is over.
