Potato Soup

5 lbs. Potatoes- cubed
1 Onion- Chopped
2 Cloves Garlic- chopped
Parsley flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
2 teaspoons Chicken base
2 pints Half & half
1 pound of Bacon

Cut bacon into small pieces, and chop onion and garlic into small pieces cook together until clear about half done.
In the same pot add potatoes and just cover with water. Bring to boil all ingredients except half & half.
When potatoes are tender, (Do not drain water) add half & half continue stirring until thickened (a few minutes)
If you like more broth in your soup add one more pint of half & half to this recipe.
Sprinkle a little celery salt on soup in your bowl to give it a different flavor

Looks good... Thanks

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Sounds good to me too. Try it by subsituting diced ham instead of bacon. That's one of our ham leftover meals.
