Have my first day off since about 3 weeks ago on Monday and was planning on going out to Gv. Anyone had any luck out there? Also its an open invite if anyone else wants to come out I will be fishing mainly for bass. I was thinking either twin coves or silver lake marina.

It's been a tough bite lately but should improve any day.

I went out to Lake Grapevine yesterday on the south side. I put in at Catfish Lane right at sunup and fished the boat houses till it got too windy about 2 hours in.

Then I moved to Ferris Branch and paddled up the stream till is split and let the wind push me back to the boat docks. No bites, but had fun breaking in my new yak.

When I get a rack for my car and feel more comfy driving farther with my yak on top of my car, I definitely plan on hitting up Twin Coves.

Lake has left me scratching my head and I'm there often

Me too, I am doing more scratching than catching. I don't have a rash. I am just not lucky I have seen people pull in near me and catch bass. Points with protected covers. They have to be eating and the next full moon should push a lot more fish up shallow. It is starting to look pretty green around metroplex. What do you guys think?

Well One of my friends took his bass boat out to grapevine today and did alright, he told where they were and what to use so we will see. Looks like I am going to twin coves park. If anyone wants to come let me know

Took the boat out today for a few hours. Caught a 7-4 and a 6-1 inside of twin coves on a rapala suspending jerkbait. Both caught near the entrance of twin coves from main lake. Both rocky banks are good right now. I got 64.2�F today around 4:30 PM which is the warmest it has been (at least when i have been around) for a while. Hope this helped! Good luck fellas!

I hear the bite is on!

Fished it this weekend they are still stagging. Wind made it tough Jackie and I had to do one rescue. Hate rental kayaks.
