Rojas is a tit bag... I'd like to see Kreit pull one off, but he's his own enemy.

Congrats Todd Faircloth...$100k, ticket to the classic and heading to Falcon. Fun week for sure! +1 I met him several weeks ago at the APT tackle show and we talked for a while. He seemed like a real down to earth guy. Good job.

I can verify this for sure. I rode with Alton jones on Thursday and we fished that spot on Thursday. He only needed three keepers at the time to fill his limit. Once he caught his three keepers to make his limit he left hoping to save those fish for the rest of the weekend. He also said he had seen Jeff Kreit practice in there. So the information about Jones moving in on Rojas is wrong to the fullest extent, Dean Rojas was not in that hole on Thursday.

Its amazing how they find the same water in such a large area. Its not like a lake where they pass each other up. If they are in the same area its because they all intended to fish there. With the high probability of zeros the Top 12 all had a chance to move up if not win. Not likely they are going to yield any water when takes such long runs which pretty much commits you. You have to be in the fresh water. You can't typically move too far you are in the saltwater.

Alton came in on Rojas and Kriet on the third day. I rode with Dean the first day. I don't think Alton should have gone in there.

Not the first time Alton Jones has moved in on another angler's water. He did it to Kelly Jordon in the 2009 Classic on Sunday morning and cost him the win. And Alton wasn't even in contention. Thanks "teammate"

www.bassmaster.comThis was from the Saturday Live Blog. Fishing in close quarters 9:17 am CDT, Mar 16, 2013 | By Jim Sexton Alton Jones and Dean Rojas are fishing in close proximity at the moment. They've been in this same area all week, but this morning Jones, in the foreground of the photo, pulled up within casting distance of Rojas. Shortly after that, Jones drove around Rojas and pulled away. Rojas turned to the nearby camera crew and expressed a little bit of unhappiness. and this was from yesterday... It's no secret that Dean Rojas isn't real happy with the fact that he's sharing water with Alton Jones. If you dig deep enough, you'll find that both men have every right to be here. Jeff Kriet is in Bayou D'Inde too, but he's stayed out of sight all day. "They're on the best stretch, no doubt," Kriet said Saturday. "I don't want to fish water they've already seined. There's plenty of fish in there." From the bridge we just observed a classic case of Rojas playing defense. He was headed upstream fishing one bank when Jones approached headed downstream on the other. Rojas then trolled across to the other bank and cutoff Jones. It appeared the tactic might have backfired when Jones set the hook on a big one. But Jones had hooked a redfish instead of a bass. Much to the disappointment of the bridge crowd, Jones held the fish up, then released it. "We already had the charcoal lit," one observer said to Jones, after Jones got right under the bridge. "It was a good one," Jones said. "It probably weighed 9 or 10 pounds." The Rojas-Jones drama is over for awhile. They've both sped off in opposite directions and the bridge has emptied of spectators.

We were in Sulphur visiting her kids/grandkids. They went to the weigh-ins as we gambled. Big thing for the folks down there.
They fish the Sabine system all the time. Said the sacks brought in are pretty good for that system.
From the Barge, I did see a few boats flying by to fish the lower ends.

Any chance Jones coulda been in there with the idea of helping Faircloth? Do they do that kinda thing ? IMO I don't feel like Alton was in true contention to win after day 3 weighins. Not sayin this happened, just thinking out loud.

As in screwing up Rojas' chance for a win so that Todd could win? No way. Alton doesn't care if he's in contention or not. He WILL jump your hole.

I guess if anyone would know, you would Fouz. You know a lot of these guys and I don't. I'll say I am surprised to hear that. From the outside looking in, Alton seems like a good guy.
