The braid manufactor I used to use is no longer available, I generally only use the stuff on carolina rig. I just spooled up with suffix 40 lb and it seems to be breaking on hook sets when I usually dont have this problem. Now unless you have been fishing a while you probably havent heard of a braid called TUFF Line but I sure do miss it!

Use one with gore. It makes the braid sink and cast better.

Use one with gore. It makes the braid sink and cast better. Suffix 832 (8 fibers, 32 weaves per inch) one fiber is Gore, helping it sink, but Suffix has a new super line out that now incorporates a lead core. I like Suffix and was a big fan of this line when it first came out. I haven't toyed their new advanced super line. I like and use Power Pro's new Super Slick 8 line. Man, this stuff rocks! It is so smooth, it truly addresses the issue of guide wear usually associated with braid. Word of caution: make sure you take your thumbnail and scrape back outer coating to help prevent the knot from slipping.

Power pro has been great for me.
