The river, not the lake...

Man... A week lying around recovering from pneumonia can really give you the itch to fish!!!!! Especially when it's your week off!!!

Was supposed to meet with an appraiser on Saturday PM so that pretty much nixed any chance of making the PKAA tourney. They both ended up cancelling. (again, good call Rob) Oh well, more time in da rivva! I had spent Friday afternoon in there and found a few. Seemed like a good call for an AM trip Saturday. Turned into a PM takeout after the appraiser cancelled... Crystal clear water, fish on beds, and only two boats aside from me in there both days. Just what the doctor ordered. Only negative was a dead pit bull floating at the high lines. I think somebody had drowned it on purpose. Seems like a bullet would be more humane if you're gonna do that...

Anyways. Crazy clear water still in there. Highly visible beds dudes! You can see these fish everywhere. I found several beds and while I couldn't always get them to bite initially, I just left and came back later to make a long distance cast on them. Worked like a charm every time. Didn't take any pics of the little buck bass. Honestly I lost count of those. My thumb is raw. Here's just a few of the decent ones. Even managed a grinnel for good measure...

Buzzards were out in force...

Nice couple of days on the water! Can't beat the EF for getting out of the wind!

Glad you weren't sidelined your whole spring break. You definitely made up for the few days you did miss. Nice fish and good numbers, too!

Tom, that hawg trough could use a visit to the car wash.

Yeah Louis... Whole yak needs the carwash, not just the trough. rolfmao

Sorry though... It'll have to wait... Everything's got decent mojo right now and I wouldn't want to wash any of that off... thumb

Nice fish man! I've never seen a bowfin before. Looks cool. What did you catch it on? Are those all over, or specific to Fork?
