Careful about 1st street; I've heard they've changed parking to 2 hrs and tickets are being written. Any of the locals have any input?

Stay at emma and bait and fish it monday thru friday.If you are absolutely into the largest of commons then LBL, or LBL if the fishing at emma doesnt satisfy.1rst street may be worth the price of a ticket.It may be illegal to park there over 2 hours but there are many regulars that use up 2 hours every day,your only there once every few years.

fish are spawning in parts on lbl right now so it is hit or miss if you'll catch. the warm weather brought the spawn early this year

Just FYI at 1st street you can get up to 4 thirty dollar tickets in one day. The officer comes by a couple times a day and will mark the top of your tire with white chalk. Simply wipe it off or back up a little that way he thinks its been moved since he marked it. He won't write you a ticket if the mark isn't there.

1st street parking has alwyas been 2 hours, I've never gotten a ticket there but they do check. They just recently added a bunch of new meters downtown and are probably trying to crack down on parking violations right now? Do like 2fish4everythning says and come back to your car every 1 hour 45 min with a wet towel and wipe the chalk off!
