I want to paint my engine cover. It very faded. Any advice on paints? Good and bad? Anything I need to consider? If anyone has did this themselves I would like to hear how it turned out for you. Thanks guys!

Avoid your regular house paints. I work for Sherwin-Williams and we have paints that are labeled industrial and marine but those are no what you need to use. You need to visit your local boat shop or marina. If you try and use industrial oil based paints they will chalk out within a couple months and look horrible. Unfortunately the coating you need will probably be expensive. If you are looking for a quick fix that will require annually or bi annually reprints use SherwinWilliams DTM Acrylic semi gloss or gloss. Only comes in gallon sizes. Good luck.
