then you shouldn't have had any crowds because that's what I saw 90% of the boats doing. even in the crowded coves not as many were hitting the 5+ water. I was in Long Branch 4 hours Thursday and all the boats were sight fishing or running down the bank, I was only one in 4 hours I saw out flipping the timber and although I took 4 hours I still missed more than half of it. I bet there were stumps that haven't been touched all weekend even with the 100+ boats that run it a day.

I fished with my old man every spring break at Lake Fork. Weather was always an issue but it was the only week we had in the spring. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I live 15 minutes from 515 East ramp.......and I NEVER fish spring break or any spring Friday, Saturday, or Sunday ........

But I know it's great for the lake's economy if not the lake.....bring on the 100 degree days!

I gotta think these fish are so smart considering 1,000 lures a day get thrown at them. And also it's really better fishing at lakes that aren't as crowded. Anyways I'll still fish fork all spring sure, I just wish there weren't so many people. Maybe R.ROB. Will not be crowded this spring and I can go up there.

I was in Long Branch after 2:00 or so. It was indeed crowded...but I've seen it worse. You're leaving out one contributing factor why it was crowded yesterday....wind. While it wasn't terribly windy (20+ mph) it was tough to fish main lake or open water. We fished the main lake and mouths of creek in the morning but even with 15 mph winds in the morning it made for more difficult fishing so we opted for some fishing out of the wind in the afternoon. However we caught fish on the main lake in deeper water (20'+) and in Long Branch.

I try to avoid Spring Break....but with kids it's the way it is. But the good news...we were fishing!

Spring break week is nuts.

Main thing that is making it feel more crowded is the wind, any protected area is swamped.

Good advice. We had ours on [BassPro has them on sale:)] yesterday. However, the fish obviously did not know about our "BBPs" and showed us no respect. A brutal day on Fork is still a great day no matter how you look at it!
