Finally a whole day off with decent weather, thinking about Lake Nasworthy for the day - no boat.

Any opinions?

did you have any luck Redneck? I'm a grad student at ASU and love to bass fish. Haven't been able to quite figure out that lake yet smirk

We went to Comanche Trail in Big Spring and then on to Colorado City. No luck either place.

I still want to try Nasworthy some time.

Colorado City still hasnt recovered from the golden algae kill that happened a few years ago. Nasworthy is pretty shallow. We have caught catfish & crappie just past Spring Creek Marina along the river & creek channels in the no wake zones.

The bridge just past Pack Saddle BBQ at the old power plant intake slough, on the side facing the power plant, has been producing pretty good crappie right after dark on jigs under corks.

TPWD sank a few Xmas trees right there, at the end of the fishing pier, at the corner by the sign at Spring Creek Marina, and a couple of other spots a few years back.
