#1 Zero watersking
#2 A small to medium sized lake ,500 to 4000 acre range
#3 A lake with lots of flooded timber
#4 Lots of wind sheltered coves
#5 Isolated lake with little boat traffic . A list of great kayak lakes Tradinghouse creek, Navaroo mills , Bardwell, Limestone,Mexia, alvarado,Squaw creek lake ,The nolan river Park above Whitney, stillhouse hollow ,Lake Brazos, and other lakes outside this region include lake palo pinto, Lake weatherford and proctor lake. So if you want to come down south of Dfw for a kayak friendily lake .Are you tired of giant lakes with no structure and being blow around by giant wake and dodgeing bass boats and waterskiers .Come out to waco local lakes .Its the population problem your experiencing come on out to the boonies, less traffic more fun .

Every time I go to alverado in the spring and summer there is at least one jerk in a wake boat.

I still fish it regularly. It is a nice little lake with some really decent fish in it. I just try to avoid the wakeboarders by starting early and being off the lake by 11am or so.
