I am looking for a guide to take my father and son out on Monday (3.18). Any recommendations on solid guides? Specifically ones that do well with kids? As we all know, not everyone has patience with little ones in a boat. Thx!

I second JD Lyle, if he isn't booked.
I have fished with 3-4 guides over the years on Texoma and JD is the only one that hasn't retired that I have 1st hand knowledge of. I think he would be great with kids since he seams to be extremely patient.

I know he cares for his Gran-kids on occasion, so he's aware of hope they work (kids) grin

If you go with him, make sure your child has a bag of marbles to let loose in JD's big boat (it has allot of room), that way I can hear where JD is fish'n!!! rolfmao

Thx guys. Reached out to a few today and went with JC McCullough. I don't see his name listed above so I hope I made the right move!?!? Praying winds are down on Monday.

Jay Staley. Awesome guide. He will work his tail off to get you on fish.

I just realized I never posted back up. Went with JC and went out with his son. Awesome trip and my 4.5 Y/O didnt complain a bit. Once the strip bite slowed, they put us on hybrids and action fish to keep him entertained. On the water from 8-3 and I would do it again in a heart beat.
