Just thought that I would share how I felt about lake Fork. I love the lake, and wintertime fishing is def. the best bc there aren't 100 people in one cove. I should of taken a pic. Today bc there were literally 100 boats In Long Branch. One guy was throwing to the left of the dock in his boat while another boat fished the right!!! It's CRAZY!!! I gotta think these fish are so smart considering 1,000 lures a day get thrown at them. And also it's really better fishing at lakes that aren't as crowded. Anyways I'll still fish fork all spring sure, I just wish there weren't so many people. Maybe R.ROB. Will not be crowded this spring and I can go up there.

Go after dark. Fishing is even better alot of times and you have the lake to yourself.

Just got back, it was a mess. I bet there was several million dollars in Birch Wednesday morning. This is my last year to go on spring break because my son is graduating, hopefully we can go together when the fishing is a bit better and not so crowded.

Yep.

This year has more boats then in the past few years for a couple reason.

1. Falcon is not as hot as it was.
2. Economy is down so people can not travel as far.
3. The large number of big bass caught here this year already brings in the Challenge of maybe one of us catching a large bass of a life time.

PERFECT STORM for fork good luck all but the same reason you want to be there is the same reason the next boat wants to be here also good for the lake and the lakes economy

It is spring break. What else is expected. I am an optimist. If there are a load of boats in on cove ill just go to the next. Its a big lake with alot of fish. They all wont be in that one cove. Love this lake.

Easy solution....get off the beaten path and away from the community spots and you will svoid the crowds.

I do as well.....not always easy, especially when you have a whole lotta kids out of school and kids' parent(s) off work, but well worth the effort to find some un-pressured fish...

Fish the boat lanes , nobody fishes them this time of year!

Put your big boy panties on and just deal with it or go fish another spot. Its as much there space as it is yours.

Nobody scared to fish it. I fished it 6 out of last 7 days. What I'm saying is there's to many people there and fish are to pressured which makes it not as fun and not as much action. This winter was fun bc weekend guys like you were to scared to get out there lol. And I caught alot of fish. I'm not trying to throw at a bass on a bed that's been thrown at 1,000 times already that day. Anyways just my thoughts.
