Spent the better part of 4 hours in Little Mustang yesterday fishing water from 10 feet to 3 feet. Managed 1 nice black crappie. Maybe I was about a week too soon. Water temps up to 65 deg in the afternoon. Sure did suprise me, I thought they would be there.

Fished Long Branch on the east side on Thursday. Caught 5 crappie in about 6 hours on the water. All fish were caught in 2-3 FOW. We fished for them deeper early in the week then I got some advice to look shallow. They may not all be in shallow but they are coming in for sure. Bass are on beds in shallow water. Azaleas are blooming in my front yard. Fish got to be shallow.

Fished Fork Thursday and Friday. Most of the fish we caught were in areas just off of the creek channels in about 6-10 FOW. Should be much better in a couple of weeks.

Fished Friday through today. Friday and yesterday were very tough. We had a hard time finding any fish at all. We fished 1 to 20 ft of water searching for em. Today we found a bunch in about 5 fow. All but one were large males. It was better today, but not great.
