I have a 2009 150 HPDI with 16 hours on it. Last two trips out it would idle really rough when I initially put in. The first trip it cleared up as the day wore on and ran fine on the top end. Last trip the rough idle never cleared up and I couldn't even get it to start without engaging the choke. If I didn't put it in gear quickly and give it some throttle it would die. Then it was hard to start again. Still ran fine on the top end.

I've already taken it in but he hasn't looked at it yet. I'm just wondering what it might be. Any ideas? Hopefully nothing catastrophic.

I have a Largemouth at home....sometimes she lets me go fishing.

2009 motor with 16 hours? Do you add a fuel stabilizer like Seafoam or Stabil?

If thats the case I'd drain the gas and put fresh stuff in. Make sure you treat the gas with a healthy dose of fuel stabilzer and see if that makes a difference. First treatment make it Seafoam as it will help to clean it out.

Bought it last year with 9 hours on it.

I always use a fuel stabilizer.
