Sorry guys, re-add me or contact me if we were friends before on Google Plus or on TFF. My account was hacked while I was in FL so I deleted everything. I respect all of you fishermen so much! I have been in Florida for the winter working, but I did some fishing while I was there and a little hunting too. Guess what? None of it compares to Texas fishing and hunting... Period! Here are a few random shots from the iphone. Just wanted to shout, it's good to be back and I am about to browse the forum all day today!

You're saying Florida fishing doesn't compare to Texas fishing??? Hmmmmmm. I'm a Texas through and through, but the fishing here is nothing like the Florida fishin.

Huntin.... Depends on what you're after... we (texas) have way more redfish and bigger trout... florida has more tarpon (although we have some biguns too), permit, and a bone(fish) or 2... but overall, Texas Rocks!. Florida is a fun place though.

That is true about the reds and trout, but I'd love to be able to get in a kayak and paddle a couple hundred yards off the beach and catch sailfish, kings, AJs, and tarpon. Also the peacock bass! Not to mention the monster sharks that are caught from the beach there.

No, it doesn't compare off JAX FL to Texas. We catch alot more fish off Galveston. Especially Tuna and other blue water fish. We ran like 100 miles one way looking for fish on several trips. One blackfin... uggghhh.
I'm sure the Gulf side is better in FL and the Keys are good too. No place like Galveston though, IMO.
Come on, be proud of Texas Fishing!

Texas is so much more awesome than Florida could ever be in so many ways.

Texas is a unique place to fish in its own right. Our redfish numbers are awesome and we have some of the largest speckled trout on the planet. Granted some aspects like peacock bass and easy access tarpon, Florida might have an advantage over us Texans. We have some Monster sharks off the beaches too...
