This doesn't have anything to do with kayak fishing but thought I'd share anyway. Just got back from doing a little bank fishing with my 1 year old son. We were at a little pond in a subdivision a friend of mine lives in and I was pleasantly surprised at the number of kids around the bank fishing. There must have been 15 of them scattered all around the pond having a blast catching little crappie and a few bass. I didn't catch anything because I was busy chasing around a 1 year old but it was nice to see kids outside fishing instead of sitting inside playing video games.

My lil one is turning 1 year old in a few days. I can't wait to take him out on my canoe. I will have to wait a few more years, he is growing so fast that it will be fishing in no time.

Yeah he already likes to play with my reels he'll have his own soon enough.
