I am probably the most fierce, die hard, only here to win type guy that you will come across while fishing a tournament. I like and respect everyone but when it comes to you or me...I'm choosing ME.

BUT, I will not steal from you. I won't do anything that's unfair. I have morals and have respect for myself that requires me to stay on the right side of the fence.

Do not put all of us tournament fisherman in a group because there are a few sorry individuals in this world and they choose to fish tournaments.

I would like to think I fit that description.

as for academy and returns on a card, if its a debit card and you have a receipt they will ask you if you want cash back or put it back on the card. depends on how many days too, if its next day I think its back on the card only.

you either do not fish for bass or if you do have not fished won a tourney. cheap shot at a group of people that overall are some of the best folks you can hang with.

YHRF, I think you nailed the mindset of 99.99% of tournament fishermen in Texas. Whether it be the local club or the Elite Series/FLW Tour. They're just one heckuva group of people, their families included.

Fishermen in general, regardless of species pursued, are some of the finest and most cheerful folks you'll ever meet. Until the angler goes from hobby to either competition, making a living or both.

That's when the azzhat in a limited few manifests itself. It's also the reason I choose not to "compete" in fishing tournaments where FUN isn't the primary objective. I'll leave that to the "livelier" of you. farmer

JT your are a moron bud..people who run their mouth in a situation like this here are just the butthurt type because they think their own $$hit doesn't stink, but after a while of entering tourneys themselves and they just can't compete, just turn it around because nobody wants to buddy up with you. hmmmm are you are the pot calling the kettle black..mr Rick p

Boy im telling you, just throw everyone under the bus with that statement, yeah we are a little tight lipped on what were catching fish on from time to time and yeah we dont want you intruding on us when were on fish,(another words go find your own fish)But to just come out and generalize all bass fishermen as P-RICKS IS TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR.I for one take exception to your statement as i have seen these so called P____'s give the shirts off there backs and there last dollars to support a good cause, wether that be a charity tournament in the nastiest of weather and not the best day to be on the water to driving 100's of miles to support a little girl with cancer are to help out a friend who is down on his luck are whatever the cause may be,they come with open hearts and open wallets to help in anyway they can,but yet you come on here and call all bass fishermen P_____'s.Im sorry you have a problem and i think its starts and ends with you...... Im not sure who you keep company with but you might want to change your friends are something....because the only P_____k i see here is you sir.

Have a nice day.................

Stan I even heard a recent story about a couple of P**** tourney fisherman leaving their families on a Sunday to help a guy that was stranded and stuck in the muck in 30-45 mph winds.

I guess since I know quite a few tourney fishermen and almost all I have ever met are good guys, on and off the water, the term "Ricks with a P" now isn't such a bad word!

You should look before you buy anything - you can't depend on the government for everything I don't guess, not even getting the right fish hooks in the right package

I deal with thieves every day. Hate them with a passion. At least I get
The satisfaction of prosecuting most of them. So many of them feel they
Are entitled to the stuff they steal and act like they are being inconvenienced
When they are caught. All they care about is their own selfishness.
Some are downright indignant about getting caught. Been told more than a couple times "you don't have the right to stop me". Really? I would like to know were they
Got the idea it was their right to steal from us!

I buy all of my fishing stuff from Academy BECAUSE they have such a laid back return policy. I don't even want to know the amount of many I have spent at Academy over the past few years but I love the fact that I know they will return something if I have a problem with it. Academy knows people are going to take advantage of them but I would think they end up making more money than losing because of the great customer service. It's sad that some people do it but there are MUCH worse things going on in this world than some guys swapping out some hooks.....JMO

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. A thief is a thief, period. It doesn't matter what they steal or what its value is.

Fouz, you're right. A thief is a thief regardless of the value--just like using company time to post on TFF. But there are worse things happening in the world.

Ouch! Yes there are worse things going on in this world. For me, the character flaw of a thief is not somehow diminished because there are worse things happening.
