OP Sadisdix Outdoorsman S Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 154 Ovilla, TX	Took my buddies fishing at Lake Wax. Setup my friend with MY pole, good thing I checked the drag for him. We had caught several LMB for a good hour before he caught one that started pulling drag. I thought he just hooked my boat until I saw his line coming towards me in the back of the boat. Grabbed my net and pulled out a 24'' LMB, I didn't have a scale but we estimate it was in the 8-10lb range. This was my friend's second or third time fishing! If anyone can chime in and let him know it might have been a "once in a lifetime" fish...I'd appreciate it. When we removed our hook, we found another hook and line that had been recently snapped. Anyways, we released him so someone else can have the new lake record in a few years!

CHIMING IN, it's a rare event to hook up a 8 to10 pounder doesn't happen everyday, more often for beginners for some reason. I guess it's the fishing gods way of getting you hooked! Good job!
