The feeling of possibilities. The constant decision making with constant feedback. And never underestimate the drive of competition.

If I had to go fishing by myself I would never go. As much as I love the sport I enjoy sharing time on the water with my friends more. But the thing I enjoy most about tournaments is Running by Sinkey's Skeeter like he's tied to a stump!!

I love all the [censored] talk/camraderie at the boat ramp before the tournament. There a lot of laughs to be had.

You know you must have enjoyed tournaments, chasing Green Perch, competetion, winning or something when you see a tournament on some lake far away and you can't remember if you have been there/. Then you look at your map collection and find that lake map, then you remember, o yea i donated in that tournament 25 years ago.Fuel was cheap not a big deal.

The camaraderie & smack talk before & after. There is also nothing like when you first blast off in a tournament!
go big or go home.

Sound of the National Anthem and prayer is tear jerker early in the morning, when the bass are on a SWIMBAIT bite, seeing old and meeting new friends, and knowing at the end of the day I gave it my all.
Last but not least all the hard work behind the scenes that the TD and crew do to put these on for us.

The thrill of the "hunt", the competition. Going to the spot where you left 'em biting, and can't buy a bite.

I kind of look at it that I am not fishing against anyone at any event but fishing with a group of folks who have worked hard and planned out a stratagey for a e event just as I have, to be happy for those who did well and to encourage those who had a ruff day, to see how my plan stacked up against some awesome fishermen, replay what I did right and what I did wrong and always try and walk away with something new learned, I think we all want to win, it's why we do it. For that day or event to be the best of the best and I am no different on that for sure, at the end of the day be it we fish tournaments or just a day on the water, we are blessed to have that opportunity.
I am blessed to have a opportunity to live a childhood dream as a professional wrestler

I like it when your forced to fish in miserable conditions. It forces you to adapt to the fish instead of staying home.

Realizing that you have spent the watertime, to lock down what the fish are doing, and then executing your plan...You learn the fish are your focus, and the fisherman around you are your friends, teachers, sharing the experience...

The competition is one thing, but tournaments are a draw for serious fishermen to gather and a great place to learn and share information towards continually getting better. Tournament trails and local bass club tournaments are two different things, but both are great for camaraderie.
"If you've quit learn'n, you might'as well quit fish'n cuz yer not catch'n as many fish as ya should be!"
