It'll all work out fine...there will be a lot of high dollar gas burned, but we'll see some nice sacks brought in.

But why choose a place like that its texas for crying out loud tons of way better fisheries.

This will be one of the best events they fish in a while. Who the hell wants to see the pros go to the same lakes all of the time and it be easy for them to catch big sacks? I guess the same people who want to fish tournaments nowhere but places where it's easy to catch a limit...

The footage is going to be so entertaining.

Anybody who has that attitude obviously isn't concerned with AOY standings or how they will qualify for next year.

Ya know what's amusing to me?

We have heard folks complain that "all the Elites do is go to the best fisheries at the best times and have a donkey show", "sight-fishing extravaganza", "post spawn melee where anyone can catch them" and "summer events where the ledge fishermen dominate" ever since this format's inception.

B.A.S.S. came up with a schedule for the 2013 Elites that features some of the most diverse and diametrically opposed fisheries ever.

And yet folks are complaining once again. Just goes to show that one size does not fit all and you can't please everyone. For me, B.A.S.S. came up with a bit different line-up of venues for 2013 that satisfy any angler's style. Both as a competitor and an observer!

My hat's of to B.A.S.S. for listening to their audience and attempting to think outside "the box."

Bring 'em back to White Rock Lake in the middle of winter. That'll learn 'em.

They've been there. KVD caught the new lake record. Of course, his "practice squad" found that fish for him. Yeah riiiiiiiight. The whole danged "squad" would have been headed to certified scales if that were the case. Even if Kevin had a waypoint, he still had to entice, hook and land the fish. Which the "practice squad" couldn't do or we would have known about it prior to the actual event.

I think the Sabine will be awesome. Think of the TV coverage this tournament is going to get. Also like mentioned, these guys have to be on top of their game. Everything has to be click to make a good showing. One log hit can cost hours or even a days fishing and at that level that's costly. I like that aspect.

No casinos in Orange and that is who is hosting this, so not sure about the casino comment. I wouldn't say that it is ALL about money, but that ceratainly has to play a major role in the decision making.

Not just running down the lake and fishing like we usually do on regular lakes. I don't care about watching some Pro JUST throwing Cranks on rocky riprap, or etc.... Let's see who can do some strategy and planning. Throw in a few unique quirks and then finally see who "lands on their feet". How about some tidal influence to factor in too. True Pro's should be able to handle all this with their "eyes closed!"

I agree that this is exciting for a spectator in that these guys have to show off their fishing skills. And for the most part, they won't be able to get by using their normal lake skills.

Are there any Louisana Casino's on the Louisana Side of the Sabine? or Nearby?

Delta Downs in Vinton is maybe 15-20 minutes away. However as someone stated above, Orange is putting this on and I doubt casino's played any part in it.

Some folks are just not happy unless they are complaining about something. They would gripe if you hung them with a new rope.......
