Does anyone catch/freeze rays for bait? If so is there any specific way you do it to keep them. I hate having no bait at all when I hit the beach and I dont buy bait. I was wondering what the best bait to freeze and use at a later date would be.

I've got a spot in the Galveston area where the rays are really thick in jan-march. I usually will catch a bunch and freeze them in the extra large zip-lock baggies. I cut the tail off right above the barb when I catch them, but thats it. Try to keep them from soaking in the cooler water too long so it doesn't wash off all the slime and blood.
