Has anyone been in the last week or so? Wondering what stage of the spawn they're in?

Or if anyone knows the current water temp that would help too.

We caught about 10 Sunday with a nice 6 lbr. Caught it on a blk/blue jig in one of the cut-outs. Everything else was on flat sided square bills. Saw a lot of clean beds in the pads, but no fish on any of them. I don't have a lot of experience fishing beds, so someone educate me. Do bass abandon them during cold snaps like we had Sunday in favor of deeper water, or should I assume that the majority of fish have finished spawning?

they should have been right off the first break from the cold front pushing them back. if the beds were honestly clean they arent done.

They appeared very clean to me. Maybe if we had fished later in the day we would have seen some activity...

If the weather holds we will be out tomorrow. Seems like its misting every time I go to Dunlap lately.
I'll report what I see.

Too much mist and rain to really get a good peek at the pads. Got 6 fish, nothing to write home about. Up by the I35 bridge the water temp was 69. Further down by the dam it was 67. None of the fish I caught were shallow. They were on the first breaks in about 8-10 ft. We only fished 4 spots.
We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

My brother and I have gone 2x this year. We caught 30 on our first trip and nothing on our second.

The water was 70 Sunday and about a foot high, and 67 yesterday with the water about a foot low when went. We got skunked both days. I fish Dunlap 3-4 times a week and that place gets frustrating.
