My catch ratio is higher right now using clousers made with marabou. olive/white & olive/grey -both with some flash in them. The deer hair works fine, but the marabou makes the fly come alive. If its slow, slap an indicator on it and twitch it slowly back to you with small 1 inch strips. They bite very fast, so u get a lot of short strikes. 1 1/2 inch- 2 inch clousers. 1/80th jig head flies in the same color combos is working well, too. IMO
