With all the spring break crowd and all the anglers out after the pre/spawn hawgs yet not a word today on the bite at Fork? Anyone have anything to report?
Henry David Thoreau said that "Some men fish all their lives without knowing it is really not the fish they are after." I think that I am approaching this stage, that is to have the opportunity and joy to go fishing and enjoy God's magnificent creation.

It should later in the week, if the forecast holds true. We need about a week of stable weather with highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's and it's gonna be ON! Even three days in a row w/o a strong cold front after would work.

It should later in the week, if the forecast holds true. Yep the forecast is shaping up so it should be a slugfest against the big girls. One could not write a better forecast for the end of the week. I will be casting at them on Thursday, Sunday and Monday for sure and on Tyler Friday and Saturday.

Guys, this site has been danged near dead on. Both with temps and winds, for the past three weeks. And I'm talking 5-7 days out. We all have our favorites. But I continue to be amazed at Dr. Jeff Master's model as it relates to fishing. The best part is, when you search Alba, TX, you're receiving real-time data from Ray Branch on Fork. www.wunderground.comp.s.- I think the "spawn" will kick-off in earnest March 20-26th, then continue for about a week, thereafter. Certainly there will be fish on beds until May, but we're set up for a mad rush to the banks. And the biggest girls always come first, in my experience. As the Ol' Boy at Monti used to say 25 years ago, "Hope You're the One!"

Fouz, I agree about wunderground, been watching them as well and finally some potentially great weather ahead. Only problem is gonna be crowds, crowds, crowds at Fork- otherwise perfect fishing situation soon! Some of the other area lakes within 1hr of Fork are gonna explode as well.
