Taking my kid to granger tomorrow. Hoping to get him on some crappie. Any advice?

I fished up in Willis Creek last night. caught 10 with only one undersize.
Justin 63lb, 2 58lb, several 40's, 38lb, and several 20lb yellas.

Try out doppler cove. Its been producing good #s.

Try out doppler cove. Its been producing good #s.
Thats just wrong! Day or night? I'm guessing Day... hit the coves and sloughs. Fish should be moving shallow early morning. Find some shallow bp's (8 fow or less)and they might hold a few also. Good luck! I look forward to your report.

Found a few shallow today, but not many....
Should be getting better as the week goes on!

May go tomorrow also, would I have any chance of finding them in the coves shallow around the stumps early in the morning?

Wind and cold was too much for my 7 year old. We were out there until about 11 then turned around and left. Back to san antonio we go.
Maybe in a week or two I will get him back up there.

For those that don't no were Doppler cove is.up river past big bend which is called fox bottom go another hundred yards and u will see a slough to the right.from there to the next slough on the ri.ght is what the Granger gang calls Doppler cove. By the way they like black jigs with pink heads.
