It has been taking 19-20lbs to win recently. What do y'all expect? The tournaments were not being won with 30lbs every week when there was grass. What is funny to me is the ones on here pissing and moaning wasn't winning [censored] when there was grass. Shane and Bart were. I hope the grass comes back this summer thicker than ever and we will see how many of the ones whining on here start dominating all the sudden.

I just heard the open big bass tournament on Tyler this afternoon was won with a 1.97 lb. fish. Yes, that's a "1".
But congratulations to Rusty... Lol that is a fact... hmmmm wonder if 30 mph north winds, a cold front today and 80 boats on the day before may have contributed? But what do I know....... or possibly the fact that it's 3 hour tournament, $10 entry, and probably 3 boats showed up. LOL and that too.

4 hours, 14 fishermen...and you probably won't make a living fishing Lake Tyler against some of the guys who were there. I'm sure the wind didn't help. We didn't exactly enjoy it on Saturday, either.

I cant believe yall are arguing over a dang lake. Really? Do you not have something better to do? Like get a real job... Anyways, the way i look at it is, if you dont like the lake then dont go. Plain and simple. End of story. A blind man can catch a fish if there is grass in it. You have to adapt or stay on the damn porch.

Bart and Shane are two of the best grass fishermen in this area. They dominated. I dont know who was in South Texas dove hunting and all that bull. But those two would have won regardless. Those so called Quality guys you referred too were gone for a reason...lol. Where are all these quality guys now? It is funny that now the grass is gone, all the sudden there are a bunch of great lake tyler grass fishermen on here whining. But when there was grass they were getting their [censored] handed to them by the two names I listed. The same ones whining on here were whining about them winning all the time back then too. I don't get on here and whine. If there is grass, I fish grass. If there isn't grass then you have to fish structure or cover on structure. Pissing and moaning isn't going to help you catch more fish. When I get my butt kicked I try to improve. I don't complain about the grass. There are some really good fishermen on Lake Tyler and I enjoy competition. You beat these guys and it is an accomplishment.
