I purchased an SEI off Ebay for 825 delivered to my door. So far so good as I am still in the break-in period. My insurance guy told me they have a lot of folks who use them.

I am looking at purchasing 90's model 19 foor Ranger with a 200 Merc on it. But, there is no loweer unit. How much would that run me? The guy is selling the boat and motor (no lower unit) for 700. Any help would be great.

Is that going to be a plug and play type replacement? Meaning bolt it right on and go?

That is only for the lower unit case. The whole lower unit good to go is 2500 or more.

I just bought a rebuilt engine. The lower unit on it was almost brand new. Its a 2.5 Torquemaster. The price of this one, a robust unit, was 5600 from Mercury.

hop, they have come down drastically. I had a new one put on in the 90's for a 3 liter and it was over 3 grand new. I heard the new Korean SEI units was the reason.

Those are good prices. I do have one that was just gone through with new water pump for 650. The ad is in the Classifieds.
