Fishboy Frank, Sleeping Tiger, and I went out for a few hours late afternoon and we did pretty good. Frank's first cast was a hybrid. Then I followed it up with a black bass. Tons of nice fat sandies. They are getting fattened up for the run. We just followed the birds all over. The hardest decision we had was what group of diving gulls were closest. The next week or two should be a blast. Here are a few pics. See you out there tomorrow.

Here's Sleeping Tigers mug shot.

Roy the last week was insane... Thanks for posting. Aaron called me yesterday to go out with his daughter Meghan and Father in law Billy. I'm on-call at work as you know. But Aaron said come on I'll run you in if you get paged. Good decision! From my text yesterday Aaron has a 24-foot boat so it handled the wind and waves perfectly. As we came under the bridge zero birds. I grabbed his binoculars and there was a swarm of birds diving out from Chandler's. It was on! I came in at 12 and Aaron said they turned back on at the same place later on. I have that spreadsheet with all those years of data. Been telling some people you can set your clock (Spring forward of course) to what is happening right now along 30. Will try to catch up with you next week out there. Your family is in for some serious Spring break fishing! Let me know if you all want to take a break at the big dock. I'll give you the combination to the lock.... Happy Fishing. (I always sign Happy Fishing because I'm happiest when fishing!).

BTW I got two inches of rain in my rain gage at my house last night! That will help the spawn for sure. Ought to get the fish excited. Now we just need a few days of warm temps...

I got the change to go Friday when the boss said lets go fishing.
We caught over 100 between 8 and noon on friday in the same areas. Some of the biggest sandbass I have caught on Hubbard. Off on vacation this week and hope to do a lot of fishing. The wife and I are looking for her a new mid size SUV hope that doesnt take long.

Pat I was saying these are some of the biggest sandies I've ever seen on Hubbard. Some are 16-17 inches. Like Tawakoni wannabes! I'm taking my boss in a couple weeks with my customer. I'm hoping for the same result you got!
