Ok so I have lived in taxes for almost 5 yrs and have been going to port a / corpus area the last 3 yrs and really only this past yr up till now have been going pretty much yr round and I'm going again this weekend I plan on leaving sat early morning and staying till sometime sunday and prob fishing clems pier or marker 37 and maybe bob hall really just trying to catch drum red black whatever so this leads to the question I've never been down there during spring break so what should I expect will it be elbow to elbow on the piers does port a get crowded on the jetties or is it more like spring break happens on the beach, either way I'm going the only way I won't go is if I look at the weekend weather and it looks bad but let's hope it doesn't lol so anyways I'm just really wondering what I should expect

Hey Chris

I haven't been down to CC on a while, but it'll probably be fairly crowded. Spring was thick with people and fishermen, but summer was worse when I used to go down.

Hope the weather holds up for you!

you'd be ok wading the flats or using a kayak or something to get around... beach will be packed.

Avoid the ferry if possible. It could be a long wait to get across.

you rolling a 4 wheel drive? if so hit pins drive down aways most the spring breakers will probably avoid anything past the 4 wheel drive sign there. That is if you wanna fish the surf

It'll probably be a little worse this year because it seems the entire country is off this week.

Also, the weather seems to be nice for a change.

Definitely avoid the ferries and use the JFK Causeway in Corpus to get on the island, but even that will back up.

Rockport beach wasn't THAT crowded yesterday afternoon and evening.

Good crowd in town, but there is PLENTY to do here with Oysterfest, fishing, etc.
