Thought it would have been a decent day on the lake being the day before a cold front in March. It wasnt!! Caught 1 under 3 slots and lost a borderline over at the boat. Only had 1 other bite. Water was 57-60 degrees. Areas without any grass or pads was fairly dirty while areas with either grass or pads was clear to slightly stained. Salvania was scattered all over the lake and bunched up in the cypress islands. The new green pads were only about 6 inches below the surface so I am guessing there will be pad fields several areas of the lake within a couple of weeks provided no extreme cold nights. Hope this helps anybody planning a trip to Caddo. Good Luck!
