So my father-in-law is back in town from Taiwan and ready to go fishing. If the weather breaks and Sunday Morning is not to windy, we may head out to Ray Hubbard.

Right now, some of the weather sites, show the chance of rain decreasing and the wind changing from south to east.

If it rains tonight and just stops in the morning, will that change the fishing for hybrids and sandbass much ?

I am thinking of going south again to the Power Plant Area?

The only 2 things I would look at is the barometric pressure, if it is dropping that is not good. The wind speed also, but remember, I have NEVER caught a fish sitting in my recliner. If you got the time, take him to the lake.

I'm in Wise county and we have received over 1" so far in my gauge, ALLOT of pea and nickle size hail in this storm too.

IMO, it would take more than a quick inch of rain to get the fish all "roweled up", but allot of this water is run-off too, so maybe a little current will get going.hmm

Don't know if you don't go. Watch the wind from a safety perspective and just go fishing. smile

Tomorrow is my only day off, so I plan to be at the lake early in the morning and just stay out until the wind blows us off.

Since the wind is turning to come out NW and TarponFly posted seeing big surface action north of Bass Pro, I may start my search on that side if the wind is bad, that will give me a little bit of a break.

Praying the rain stops by Sunrise and the winds stays down until after lunch smile

yeah , never got on the lake. Drove over to the lake, but never put in. It started to rain as we were prepping the boat, so we went into the marina store to wait a bit. When the rain stopped the wind had already shifted to NW and blowing white caps.

We decided to go home and not risk it, plus it would have been a challenge to keep the boat over any fish if we did find them.

Went home and did housework and some fishing gear maintenance, so we will be ready next time smile
