Don't do it Dan! The wind was fierce today, no need to fish in that mess. Gusts had to been close to 40mph.

I'm off the water now. I knew it would be windy and it was. I've been out in the new mariner a couple times in the wind now so I felt comfortable. I only caught 2 small large mouth and 1 sandbass that probably could have eaten the other two.

Water temp was 53-56 and dirty obviously due to the wind. The two LMB came off of the first point inside McPherson's Slough. There was a huge school stacked up at the end of the point in 18' of water. I caught them both on a 3/8 Santone jig dragging it pretty aggressively. Try as I may I could not stay on the school due to the wind. My 3lbs claw anchor just wasn't enough. The sandbass was off a different point and I caught her on a square bill in about 8 ft of water. She was definitely full of eggs and ready to run up the creek.

All in all it was a fun 2 hours of quick fishing. I think with the warm weather next week the fish that are hanging on the transition points will be headed up to spawn in a couple weeks.

I wish I would have seen this earlier Dan. I would have met you out there.

Wish you would have. I get tired of talking to the water turkeys after the first 30 minutes lol. It would have been a great day if you still had that Adventure Island!
