I have a new 2013 Humminbird 998c HD SI that i just bought a new Navionics Hot Map Platinum card for. Now I am questioning if the guy at Gander Mountain sold me the right one. There's nothing on package to say the year version this is and looking at the website compatilibity chart, I am not sure the platinum card is compatable with the HD Humminbird. Discovered all this after I opened package to look for more info, so I am not sure If I can return it. Anybody running this on their 2013 HD Humminbirds or am I SOL?

Yes it is compatable and the year makes no difference any more. It probably has S6 on it. Your purchase includes year of updates, so if you update today, it will be today's data.

Thanks Wayne! I was beginning to think I made a 200.00 mistake. It took me several attempts and evenings to get the updates and Pc version downloaded. Their packing is very short on instructions. From what I was seeing on my PC, I am only able to see a contour map, with no overlays so I was concerned I would have trouble when I actually get it in my Humminbird and on the lake this Spring. I am assuming the PC versions is a much more limited version than what shows up when it's loaded in the Humminbird unit?

We in Corsicana are lucky to have Gander Mountain. Not everyone there has the same knowledge level in all departments, but there are some sharp quality salespersons there!
Things at HB and Navionics change quickly, so it is always a great idea to research things with the companies before buying. Navionics chips are not returnable.
