The family is headed up to Isle Du Bois to camp toward the end of this week and we'll definitely be taking the boat.

Anyone got any reports or predictions for what those pesky perch will be doing???

I don't fish RR enough to know it well but looks like next week is going to be nice. I'll probably try the COE piles near the dam.

Y'all think they'll be coming in shallow with the big warm-up?

With highs in the 70's and lows in the upper 40's, chances are good for the water temp to reach upper 50's lower 60's. the males should be making nests about then. But might be a bit early for the females to join in just yet. Good luck and let us know how you do!

I was at Buck creek Thursday and saw lots of them on my Hummingbird. Didn't catch a one. Caught a bunch of white bass. Those sandies saved the day, but wont be as good as some of those crappie. I think the water is too cold ( 50 deg).

Reelin,

Did some fishing earlier this week and caught about 8 nice size keepers with a mixture of males and females. They are starting to move move shallow but are still in deeper water. Was fishing off the 3002 bridge area back near some drainage ditches and following the channels.

Give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and he can sit on a lake drinking beer and fishing for life!

I fished the main lake last Wed. Got 2 at 30'. Nothing off of COE brush piles. Water temp was 51. I believe they are still deep on main lake. Crappie might be starting up the creeks on the upper end.

If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life,
there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

Not sure about that lake but my experience for the lakes i fish, the past few months they have been deeep. Not in the brush at all.
28-30 feet of water and the may not even show up on the sonar.

I have heard this same story from more than one source. It's the strangest thing too.

I bet you are right Ketchin! I'm looking at the 10 day weather and I plan on being on the lake all next week. Spring is going to get sprung next week

Caught a nice female way up Indian yesterday bass fishing. Caught her on a jerk bait. Water temp was 54. Followed it up with a crappie jig and fan cast the whole area without success. There are some moving in but not in numbers. I agree that by next Saturday it will be on. Can't wait.
