Sold my bass boat and just bought a ride 115. Never been in a kayak before but looking forward to getting started. What are some good rigging ideas.

I would say the thing I use the most, especialy with the wind we have been having, is the anchor trolley. I know Native makes a quality kit for around $30 as I have put them on all of my boats. I am sure there are several goo kits out there. Just be sure they come with harken blocks(pulleys). thumb

Congrats, and welcome to the brotherhood. There are lots of rigging posts here and all manner of useful info. If it's knowledge you seek, you have come to the right place.

Hey it's great to see another bass boat fisherman "gone to kayaking". The G2G will be a great idea to attend to learn about rigging. The thing you will find about kayak rigging is there are 10 ways to do the same thing. Best thing to keep in mind is just don't drill holes below the water line wink.
Anchor trolley
Camera mount
rod mount
milk crate/Tackle management system. Black Pak
Floats on anything that will not float. smile
Good fish finder
Spend money on a comfortable PFD made for kayaking.
And it goes on and on.....

I would make it out to the together in April, lots of us with rides will be there with or yaks and it will help you to see different rigging options in person. Congrats on the ride!

Take it out several times to see what you need or want and where you want things to be.

Congratulations! 10 lb mushroom anchor if you want to stay put in these winds.

Oh, a brush gripper is handy to anchor yourself if you are going to fishing near timber.
