First time at Conroe!!! Pre fished for a couple of hours after I arrived. Zero fish but didn't fish too much as I had trolling motor problems right after launch. I spent my time idleing and graphing. I found alot of bait so I am hoping to start in those areas in the morning. The docks I tried were super shallow( less than 2 feet for the most part) The lake was REALLY rough today with the wind.I left early to repair my trolling motor( just finished). I am not too excited about the area I scouted but I don't want to start a new area in the dark tomorrow morning that I have never seen. I am hyped up and ready to go in the morning. I can't wait!!!!!..... I will report my first day tomorrow evening....

We fished a few hours just to re-check bass activity for all of the locations we had mapped out. If they weren't on the nest they had back off to around 5-7 foot drop offs. Every dang year we have beautiful weather the week of the tourney and then it goes to heck the day before or the day of. Gonna be windy tomorrow just like today. Fight the whitecaps and watch your lure get hung in the wind.....yeah!

My boat is in the shop or I would give it a shot. Be careful guy this wash tub of a lake can get rough in a hurry.

12 mph gusting to 24. Should get large. Conroe is the roughest lake for its size.
