Does anyone subscribe to Mystery Tackle Box, is it a good deal? Or just some scam? I am always looking for a new bait to try, and this seems to be a good way to get introduced to new baits. Any input?

Try FishHound, you get to pick what you want. The stuff from Mystery Tackle Box was great the first few months, then I was a mishmash of mediocre stuff, I canceled.

Primarily what I get is small packages of soft plastics and some minimal terminal tackle (hooks). Not to many hard baits at all, other than maybe my first package from them. I do think it's cool to just have different stuff show up, but I don't fish a lot of plastics right now. Maybe that's an indication I should be throwing more of that type than crankbaits, spinnerbaits, etc. Just my $.02 from the sidelines......... Jim

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. We did a survey when we first launched back in August 2012 and 90% of folks said they would prefer smaller samples with more variety of baits or companies they've never heard of rather than just one or two retail packs of soft plastics. Every box, even with the sample sized soft baits is going to have a retail value over $15 plus free shipping. This way you can try the baits out and if they work, you can always purchase more from our ecom store or our partners website. If it doesn't work out for you then you don't have a full retail pack that you may not ever use. We've got some great boxes lined up with some great baits and partners. If you have any other questions feel free to shoot me a PM. Thanks again and I hope you give us a shot. Use code GET499 and you can try out your first box for only $4.99.

I really enjoy it because it's a little package that's all yours that shows up at ur door step every month. is it worth $15 dollars worth of baits ehhhh honestly I don't think so cause ur only getting half of the quantity per package of baits. But I like to support cool little businesses like Mystery Tackle Box so its fun why not just try it you can always cancel.

Guess I am missing something here. Even tho 15 bucks is not much money, why give someone the money when you do not know what you are getting, and what you get may or may no be worth the 15 bucks? If you want to try different baits, just pick up some at the store and you can see exactly what you are getting.
Whats the point??? o better yet, whats the benefit???

Whats the point??? o better yet, whats the benefit??? You always get $15+ worth of baits. I like the idea because it gives you the opportunity to get baits from companies that don't litter the walls at BPS or Academy. It's a very good deal, and I enjoy it.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.
