What's your favorite flipping baits It's hard to beat a tx rigged beaver type bait or creature bait like a Zoom Brush Hog! I like to peg my 1/4 to 3/8 oz weight and use a 4/0 straight shank hook when flipping these soft plastics.

Sort of depends on where I'm trying to pitch a bait. If there is a lot of vegetation, I tend to stay away from baits with a lot of appendages because they seem to hang up more often. I'll go to a beaver type bait for that application. I do pitch baby brushhog type baits a lot but also pitch tubes a lot too. I even like pitching lizards. Some days they seem to want more action and others they want a more subtle fall, somedays it doesn't seem to matter! The rate of fall probably has as much or more to do with the number of strikes vs the bait choice. Of course, being able to put the bait in the right place trumps bait choice, color and anything else in my opinion.

Fishing is one of the few things that can break down the walls of age, race, and social differences.
