I've seen some funky behaviors before but most of the time it was due to a loose power connector either someone fishing on the bow stepped on it or I didnt plug it all the way tight. Easy fix for that scenario!

I wanna try storing a route from my boat slip at Bayview to the boat ramp... That way I can send it off to the ramp and have the trailer backed up and ready by the time it gets there!!!

The I-pilot on the Terrova is awesome. Most of the time that i lost signal was due to me bumping the remote on accident. But, just like my graphs, they do lose signal every once in a while because of many things. Cloudy days, bridges, satelite positions and the military can shut some of them down from time to time for their use (I know this because I spent 5 years in Signal in the Army). I would say the major cause of losing a signal (minus operator error) is just the position of the satelites.
The best thing about the Terrova is the ReSale Value! I put mine up for sale on here and CL and had 10 offers in 10 minutes. Went with the first guy who replied (took him 3 minutes from the time I hit send). I probably had 200 emails from CL from my ad.

Larry, if your boat is parked on your driveway you can test this right now. Just halfway deploy the TM or you can adjust the neck collar to a safe depth without touching the trailer. Then back as far as you can and power on/off, rotate, etc. ^^^^^ That is exactly what I did when I first got mine. The only thing that I would add to that is take a pair of binoc's with you. I got so far away that I couldn't tell if the motor was responding to the command or not. At that point I just figured that it will work far enough away.

I have a 22 foot tri-toon rigged for striper fishing. I have thought about getting the ipilot 101lb tm but I have never seen one on a pontoon. I don't want to spend the money if it won't hold my boat on the fish. it sits so high the wind pushes me off fish pretty quickly. Anyone ever seen a tm that worked on a large pontoon?

I use the 101 ipilot terrova on my 21" pontoon and it moves her at about 2.8-2.9 mph on gps. It should hold you on fish. You can always try calling MinnKota and ask them about your specific tritoon. I have had a couple of problems with mine and MinnKota customer service has been outstanding.

I have been out on days when the wind is about 15 mph and it will work but hold my pontoon on fish.

I launch my boat and bring it to the dock all the time. I did several tests and I know it works well over 50 yards away. I normally can control the boat from the parking lot of both Chandlers and Terry lane boat launches. I have a small hook on a rope that gets connected to the motor. When i turn the shaft the moter head flops intothe water and i steer it to the dock. People that see it are amazed. Even had a guy in panic mode once because my boat was floating away after I launched it.
I also have used the anchor mode in winds so strong they were comming over the front of my 21 foot center councel and it worked great. You will have trouble if you have low battries.
I also used it off the jetties fishing for reds in Venice. You could scoot over to schools quickly and then instantly anchor and fish them. The other boats had no chance by the time they picked up anchor and got repositioned the school moved and they missed it. They spent the day picking up the anchor and we spent the day catching fish. Bottom line is the I-Pilot is a great great tool and everybody who I take fishing that doesn't have one seems to get one shortly after that trip.

I have a Preimer 21' Castaway with 2 Pontoons with a Terrova I-Pilot, it works great. Don't forget the Terrova comes with a bracket that is pontoon specific.
