I have been looking around and have pretty much figured out that all the reels a just parts put together in China. If you buy 10,000 of them they will customize it with what ever name you want on it.
So I guess the thing to do it just buy a good base reel and then go buy some after market bearings and drag washers.
Am I right on this?

Am I right on this? Sounds pretty accurate to me. That's what I do anyways. And yes for some reason Academy has ditched most of the Lew's line of reels.... I don't get it. Probably going to try and start pushing more of their H20 brand stuff. Which isnt that bad anyways.

When this REVO SX starts to choke out I am just going to buy aftermarket bearings, I don't think I will ever wear out the drag washers, and give it another go.
This reel "base" should last ten years or so.
I will be in my late 60's then ... wow.
