Ike will always be one of my favorites. He spent 15 minutes with my son when the Elites came to the Lew just talking and trying to become a "good friend" of his. I was shocked how he went out of his way....Ike will always rate to the top IMO...

Ike is a great guy! Wether he yells or not doesn't matter to me!
If they had cameras follow us around I am sure they'd find a lot worse than that!

My son went to the junior championship a few years ago and most of the pros were great even yelling Ike took time to talk with him, he gave him some new top secret baits and along with a few other pros took dale shopping at bass pro!
The rude pros that we came across,( there were a couple) the ones that didnt have anytime for the kids, were the guys that are always quiet.

I have thrown some decent fits, but I have not yelled f-bombs in public over stuff like that. However, I have never been tied for the lead in a Bassmaster Classic and $500,000 on the line and had an equipment failure like that. I'm sure emotions are plenty high and that was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Ike is Ike he really a good guy I'm pretty sure he doesn't do it for the attention when you got fifty boats following you around you probably want less attention and if he is doing it for the attention who cares he is an ambassador for the sport and a top five angler in the world . So if he wants to cuss a dog who gives a [censored] . I would have done a lot worse there probably wouldn't have been a cameraman or a camera on boat after my trolling went out.

I'm not an Ike fan but I have to admit he is good with the kids. Now if he can get some help with his anger management issues he will be a good role model. His yelling and antics are just for attention and that is ok if him. But when the kids see him cussing and tearing up equipment they think it is ok for them to do the same. That is not good for them or the sport.

Glad he was man enough to apologies to the dog, it wasn't his fault that he was having a bad day. He was just trying to root him on and since barking is what Ike does so well the dog wanted to join in. smile

Ike is a good guy. I have spoken to him a few times at the TTBC on lake Conroe. He took time out to sign my kids hat and joke and play with him on a very busy weekend. Great guy.

I thought it was hilarious. Rivals his TTBC blowup from a couple years ago.

I for one have told a few dogs to shut up.Tawakoni has some of the worst yelping mutts anytime you even get close to there space. Next door neighbors dog used to bark all the time . He was easy to train. After a few shots all I had to do was rattle that bb gun.
