Went to Lake Palestine last weekend and hooked up with iconn4 for 2 days of fun fishing. Saturday started of pretty good even though it was cold as hell. The afternoon was sloooowww. We managed 5 or 6 apiece and Louis got a pretty nice one. Sunday was dynamite !!! I lost count of how many I caught. Thanks to Louis for leading me to them. I counted 11 on one drift. I know Louis did just as well. A few dinks mixed in with good solid fish all day long until I had to leave. I actually caught one on my last cast. Man, its hard to leave when it's like that. Had a great time as usual fishing with Michael and Aaron. Cold on Saturday, near freezing that morning, much warmer on Sunday with an 11 a.m. start.




Hit the same exact stump I scored personal best last time here and caught this one on the first cast at it. Not nearly as big but almost as gratifying.

I don't know what these are called but I call them yellow eyed bass.


Borrowed a big brush hog from Michael, made first cast and was looking for my smokes when I noticed my line was 90 degrees from where I cast.

No big ones on Sunday for me but the fish were much more aggressive and knowing that a 13 plus ShareLunker was caught on this end of the lake on Saturday made for some excitement on every cast. Much more grass in this area and plastics were the name of the game on Sunday.

Good report guys, and congrats on the catches. Looks like a nice lake to be on.

Great fish guys! Wish I coulda made it out this weekend. I was slammed all weekend. Haven't got the yak wet in 3 weeks.
