Well I did it. Never been to Conroe but I am going down this weekend for Oakley Big Bass. Please give me any advice for this time of year. PMs will def help out. I know there are a few TFFers going down, hope I run into a few of you guys to put names to faces. Booking in at the Super 8 down there. Thanks.....

strong winds have kept most off the lake lately and it gonna be 20-30mph mon & tues, water temps are around 60 give or take a few degress should warm a lil since it's gonna get to around 80 the next few days. I'd throw a trap and maybe look shallow to to see if any are moving up?

Going into silent tournament mode this week but do a search for "Conroe" and I've given some readings on where they are right now.

Hint - They are biting so if you aren't catching them then you aren't fishing where they are...

Water temps this weekend were low 50's in the morning. Look at Google Earth where the water was low. Look for docks that were still in the water at that time and flip them with a jig or your favorite plastic. Junebug is one of my most productive colors on Conroe.

These fish move all the time. Don't forget Rayburn red 3/4 or sexy shad traps and cover LOTS of different spots. 1.5-6 ft water. Give spots 10-15 mins and move. Square bill in stumps shallow. Good luck
