Just saying....sandbass will push up the creek, unlike crappie. Ive caught sand bass in 5 in of water, trapping it with my feet and putting my hand in its mouth. Ive also seen a school come through that same area and bust the water up 6-10ft in the air. This was at ol Alton. You already know how the fishing was:)

Grapevine is pretty much always going to be releasing some water as will Lewisville. Its required by the Water district.

No heavy stringer today. I fished from 8:30 till about 2:00 today. I parked on the north end of the bridge and went east. I caught 14 but only 5 keepers. I was using road runners and rooster tails. Saw a couple using minnows and they were doing a lot better. I'll have minnows down there next weekend for sure.

went out yesterday (Sunday,) we caught 30 sandies and 2 crappie. they are slowly working their way up but unless we get another foot of water in the next 2 weeks, i think theyll be spawning east of the 377 bridge because of that one really shallow spot, between the bridge and the old school house rd... i imagine anyone out there today that hiked east caught a good stringer,,,

Nope, alot of people fishing today. Parking lot was full and people parked outside the pipes as well-alot for a Monday. Only saw two decent stringers both from east of 377 and they fished early to after lunch to get them. Out of over 30 people I saw fishing or talked to most had 3,4,5 less than 10 fish. Slow day today over all.
