I have the 798ciSI on the front and the 898csi on the console. I am getting an 8 degree difference between the front and the rear with the front being lower than the back. Is there a way to adjust or is this something that I need to have Humminbird check out?

First you have to make sure that both transducers have been in the water long enough to get a stable temp reading.

Next you have to verify what the water temp is at the level the temp sensors are.

THEN you can go into the unit Setup menu to Temp Offset and adjust that + or - how many degrees to display the actual temperature.
